After a three weeks residency at ada Studio (Berlin), I performed excerpts of my research in front of a live audience. This open rehearsal took place on 4 August 2023.

This residency at ada Studio was the continuation of my latest research project funded by the Federal Government Com- missioner for Culture and Media within the framework of the initiative NEUSTART KULTUR, aid program DIS- TANZEN by the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland. During this period, I studied the mechanisms used to develop an affective connection with an audience on the borderline between dance and TikTok viral videos.

‘You are welcome to witness a dance designed to be watched on repeat. Please feel free to record me on your smartphone, laugh, applaud, boo and comment during the show. I depend on your reactions and hope to receive many!

This extract is a collection of physical and virtual materials generated by hourly cycles of scrolling and dancing. Like a video game, I intend to hit every note, every rhythm, every word, and every sound. During this shared experience, we may feel numb.

After these weeks of residency, I'm wondering: Is scrolling a practice? How does movement (or immobility) provoke affection? What is the dramaturgical effect of a song? Can I feel when I don't stop?’
